1. News : Anaimalai flying frog

  • Rhacophorus pseudomalabaricus, also known as Anaimalai flying frog, false Malabar gliding frog, and false Malabar tree frog, is a species of frog in the family Rhacophoridae
  • It is a critically endangered frog species.
  • It is endemic to the Anaimalai Hills, a part of the southern the Western Ghats in the Tamil Nadu and Kerala states, India.
  • Species is protected in Indira Gandhi National Park and Parambikulam Tiger Reserve.

2. News : INS Vikrant

  • It is the first aircraft carrier to be built in India and also the largest vessel made in India.
  • INS Vikrant, also known as Indigenous Aircraft Carrier 1 (IAC-1), is an aircraft carrier constructed by Cochin Shipyard in Kochi, Kerala for the Indian Navy.

3. News : Project himank

  • Project HIMANK, is a project of the Border Roads Organisation (BRO) being implemented in the Ladakh region of Jammu & Kashmir
  • Under this project, BRO is responsible for the construction and maintenance of roads and related infrastructure including the world’s highest motorable roads across the Khardung La, Tanglang La and Chang La passes.

4. News : The Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In)

Background: CERT-In tracks 6.07 lakh cybersecurity incidents in the first six months of 2021, of which about 12,000 were related to government organisations.

  • The Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-IN) is an office within the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology of the Government of India.
  •  It is the nodal agency to deal with cyber security threats like hacking and phishing
  • Established in 2004
  • It issues Issue guidelines, vulnerability notes, advisories, and whitepapers regarding to information security practices, prevention, procedures, response and reporting of cyber security incidents.
